The Art of ePortfolios
My Future: Looking ahead towards career and beyond
One important aspect of this portfolio is to track and reflect upon your future plans. Most of you are taking college courses with an eye towards your future. You may have been told that, "young adults with a bachelor's degree earned more than twice as much as those without a high school credential (103 percent more), 62 percent more than young adult high school completers, and 29 percent more than associate's degree holders." (National Center for Education Statistics). Career exploration and planning are part of the University Studies experience and certainly an important reason you have chosen to attend a university. You will use your ePortfolio to learn how to reflect on and share the skills and competencies you develop in college.
University Studies has teamed up with the Career and Advising
Center to create unique assignments intended to help you explore
your interests, discover your talents and "Chart you course"
towards your future.
